Tides

Lets drive away from oblivion,

see the sunset

while we stand on the shore

with the seemingly white sands.

Lets drive away from oblivion...

Shall we see it through?

Let us dive into the ocean,

taste the salty waters

and see what it brings us to.

Shall we see it through?

Come lets flow with the tides,

see the water gush away our sorrows-

follow relentless dreams

or take us to dimmed nights.

Come lets flow with the tides...

nice.

Dream Catcher:
no man's land can also be construed as eternity, but we lets add another dimension to the meaning of flowing away with the tides, which can lead to a new world a new life.
the poem contemplates about flowing with the tides because we can flow either to no man's land or to a new life.
tell me how do you like the new perspective?

Oblique-skeptic:
right on the point man. i could not have summed it up better myself.
thank you for visiting my blog. i hope we see more of you.
thank you.

I very well contemplated this perspective..but if u reflect ..tell me doesn't it still feels no mans land is the what we we get...a flow of tide is where u win by giving urself in..

hmm if we dwell in this new life phenomenon it seems plausible ..n good thing..a change infact..but still u will b there..

yes, you are right.
the brighter life will eventually most probably turn to no man's land and it will be "us" who would eventually be stuck in it anyhow.

but then the question still remains:
whether u would continue being forlorn, continue to live in oblivion-a sad life or would u like a change from it even if its temporary happiness.

and its because of this question and the uncertainty that it poses, that we are forced to contemplate on what to do.
hence:
"Shall we see it through?"

Shruti:
I have noticed that mostly everyone likes this line the best. i wonder if its the uncertainity or the wish for something better, that makes it so like-able.

but thank you for taking out time to stop by and appreciate the poem.

well in a purist way if we say new lands n new ventures always poses a sense of new emotions..n thats where the change began..though uncertainty is a part of any venture but the thought of a fresh arena subsides in us..this journey is perhaps being made only cause oblivion has marked by saturation otherwise its like swimming in swimming pool..i mean in the same waters.. holding the rope with the fear of being drowned..

whatever way we see it..we shd see it through :)..
otherwise its not life perhaps..its a living death

Thank you. Hope you like the others too.

Pricky:
I am not sure if everyone can see things through. so I cant say "who" can see things through.

try only these:
Lets drive away from oblivion,
Let us dive into the ocean
taste the salty waters
and see what it brings us to.

Shall we see it through?
(shall we go along with it-reach eventuality of phases in our life)

What's in a name:
Thank you :)
coming from you-its a pleasure.

dear seraphic girl,
i love the expression
'' seemingly white sands''
it adds a digressive worth to your poem which can make one wonder at the nature of meaning itself. At the risk of sounding confused, i ll call your poem simply beautiful.

I also want to thank you for reading that sad old letter. your words brought a smile to my face and somehow set that letter free.
